Hi guys this is my first post ! so i hope im in the right forum. When i drive over about 30 kph i get major noise coming from the rear wheels . i have replaced all tires after the problem started, no change! I took it to my local honda dealership and they told me that the rear wheel bearings were U.S after only 80,000, So i jacked the rear end to isolate what side was shot but they both feel and sound fine ( no rumbling or wobbling ) I know the rear bearings are a sealed unit on this model so is it the way im trying to test each side or what?? I only wish to replace the shot side because each bearing costs around $300.
Any clues??

Get a 2nd.opinion.Either from another dealer or a good workshop that knows what they're doing.Where do you live? This will help us to recommend someone good in your area.

tony1234_( Perth ) Im pretty sure its wheel bearings! I just cant isolate what side is shot! The noise gets louder the faster you go but when you jack it up and the bearings arnt under load they both seem fine.

Sorry i'm in Sydney. The bearings must be on the way out.Go to a good workshop and ask them if aftermarket bearings are available.

I think it doesnt matter which side is shot... you need to replace them both if you are changing them.
Best of luck my rear wheel bearings are shot too needa change them soon... i hear they cost 600 for dc5r... gotta call up to make sure
