Hey, I was planning to get new wheels very soon, within this or next month's time.
I want 17"x7" rims for my jazz, and just wondering what's the difference between the 215/40 and the 205/17 tyres?
I am getting it from www.tempetyres.com.au in Sydney i think.
I emailed the guy what brand tyres i get and for what car etc etc, he replied it will fit the jazz but only with 205/40 not 215/40... I tried askin him but didn't reply for a wheel...

means you can only get the thinner tyre of the two (ie. the 205s)
i assume the wider tyre will scrub.

i got 17x7 rims equip with 205/40 tyres and i was thinkin to get 215/40
205/40 just not wide enough....for brand, i reckon Falken would be enough but then i wanna change it to BF Goodrich or Pirelli for better handling....

Hey BBC03, is there any drop in power-to-weight ratio with your 17"x7"?
I had 18"x7", i got rid of them cos they were just too heavy, starting accelerating was like slower than grandma's lil' scooter.
but it did look nice tho... look at my vBgarage photos.

16' is max for jazz
anything bigger will be a bit ricy

I agree with TypeG though....16" is max...Thats what i was going to put on my car...
but i got myself a racing wheels so its kinda light compared to any other 17"
with regards to the drop in power to weight ratio... i felt it a bit but it was not much...
for tyres i recommend a good one if ur lookin for performance...cos i think this is more important than good lookin wheels....Falken is good enough....but i tried pirelli tyres on the handling was just different...especially when jazz steering wheels is that light...

does anyone have any experience with BFGoodrich tyres?
was at a local tyre shop and asked them about a tyre/rim package for B'stone G3. But the guy mentioned he will offer me something BETTER (apparently wheels magazine tyre of the year?) - BFGoodrich G-force. any comments?
