I would like to purchase the standard Euro 09 model and trade off with my Black Jazz 06 vtis with 11k mileage. The dealer gave me a deal with $17000 changeover with current Honda deal plus mats and full tank petrol.

I want to know everyone's opinions whether this is a good deal. Thank you! :D

Sorry I forgot to mention this. My Jazz is auto and the Euro is auto too.

Try and sell the Jazz privately. It should be fairly easy to sell. Then you'll find it easier to get a better deal on the Euro.

Agreed with Tony.

Just be patient and sell it privately. Jazz has good market anyway.

But give us more details of your car and Euro you want.

Have a look at carsales.com.au to see what a jazz with your year and milage is fetching. Subtract that from the base price of the euro auto which I think is $34990 then see if thats good value.
If the dealer is asking you for $17,000 and your Jazz then effectively the dealer is offering you $17990 for your Jazz (34990-17000)
I doubt you would get much more than $18,000 for a private sale.
Therefore that offer sounds really good so sign on the dotted line.

Redbook '06 VTI-S auto:
$13,300 - $15,300 trade
$16,200 - $18,200 private.

New Accord Euro base auto is now $35,990, before on roads.

Dealer giving you $18,990 for your car mate. :D

I'd take the deal for sure!!!

Sorry thanks for correcting me on the Euro price. That only makes the deal so much better. Also consider that many imported items are expected to rise in price during the year. I know that's the case with white goods, but not sure if it applies to cars.

Yeah, Toyota are increasing their prices, as well as Honda. Seems to be the thing when sales go down.

Shit yeah. Have a look at the accessories too, there might be more things that you might want them to throw in for free. Like the boot tray for instance. And sports pedals. Those look good. ;)
