Guys

Just blow my motor so I'm looking at a B16/B18 swap..

Only thing I need to change after the swap is the turbo manifold..

So anyone know what flange type/size the GReddy turbo is that comes with the 92-95 Honda Civic kit?

And if anyone knows B16/18 manifold that will fit?

Thanks

Luke

That would be ideal so I would not have to mod my intercooling pipes

my car has always been tuned by toda, and so have alot of other members on this forum.
i'm most certainly happy with my tune/build.
20,000kms, and still going very strong.

Had I paid more attention and noticed she was making to much power I could have stopped the run before it was too late but I was talking to other members

Blowing up a car with a greddy kit is an effort.

Tick tock tick tock.

Goodluck with the swap. I look forward to seeing how it turns out. Never heard of anyone adapting a the greddy kit to a large capacity motor. You will need a new downpipe too - the stock one just wont cut it, it will choke out vtec to the point where you will ping your ass off no matter the timing.

My best advice is to sell the full-kit as is (inc exhaust). A bolton affair for 3k. Then do a custom kit with the new knowledge you have of turbo systems. Or a greddy kit for the b-series motor..

Just to get run and running as this car is my daily driver..

Should be fine on 6 or 7 PSI yeah?

Will upgrading the turbo...soon and have one lined up.

And yeah now that I know how/why turbo kits work building custom won't be a problem

What do you mean by new downpipe?

I have a custom 2.5" downpipe coming off the Turbo Outlet Adapter...

Are you talking about the Turbo Outlet Adapter not being big enough?

That stupid cast thing with greddy stamped on it. Its really chokes it. Feel inside, not well designed. I ported mine and the header when i took mine off for epa reasons.

What did you use to port the Turbo Outlet Adapter Alex?

The Turbo Outlet Adapter sure can afford to lose quite a bit of excess material and allow better exhaust flow

you use a dremel tool, unless you have an aircompressor then you use air tools

I tried my dremel but close to no cast iron material moved...

I need a Port and Polish kit but I can't seem to find any?

No chance of dremeling anything off those inconel manifolds, theyr are cast TOUGH!

Theres a specialty tool place at Blacktown that sell die grinding kits for porting and polishing. Its on tattersall road on your right hand side about 40m down if you turn in off sunnyholt road.

> you want to ask for a standard abrasives porting and polishing kits or individual pieces if you like

The metal ones are usually made from tungsten carbide.
The grinding wheel types ones are some sort of silicon/alumina in a matrix.

The metal ones are used to take bulk material off.
The grinding are used just for finishing/polishing.

> get some sort of titanium

There are higher spec tools made from tungsten carbide with a thin coating of titanium/aluminum.

Bunnings do a very, very cheap kit with a whole bunch of points and dies.

I don't think this will make much difference, however.
