what ecu do you have, raw fuel (unburnt) pumped into the exhaust is one factor. does it do it more under deceleration ??

depends what type of car, usually running abit rich/unburnt fuel like ecu suggested. i dont see how having aftermarket extractors causes ur car to pop? :P

it's normal, any n1 style exhaust will have this feature.
reset your ecu might help a bit.

I am pretty sure it is caused by unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust system...I reckon before the cat..I doubt it has anything to do with what headers are on the car......maybe check your plugs for deposits? sheeeet I'm just guessing don't listen to me! :D

Aftermarket extractors/exaust can upset the factory air/fuel ratios due to the change in flow & backpressure.

Your car is running rich. The location of the oxygen sensor on your after market extractors may not be the same as the factory one and so readings may be a bit different, and then causing the ECU to possibly run the engine rich.

But the ECU ignores the O2 sensor under trainsient conditions anyway. O2 sensor is ony for idle and steady state cruising. Besides, the honda O2 sensor is heated, so the placement shouldn't make that much diffrence.
