Tyre pressure has nothing to do with wheel or tyre size. It's relative to the weight of the car and thus doesn't change unless the weight of the car changes significantly. The only other factor is if you prefer a certain handling characteristic; high pressure gives light steering but less grip, low feel wallowy but more grip. cheers

Nice! How much you pick up the adrenalines for? And where was it fitted?

34-36 psi.

on european cars that come with lower profile tyres, it states on the placard thats the recommended pressure.

i got the tyres when i brought the car,
cost a crap load though :S
i had to replace the tyre a month ago, the tyre itself cost 420buck each?

420 each is equivalent to an 18 size tyre your 17 would be mid to high $300....
anyhow tyre pressure depends on car weight and comfort for yourself....

as long as you dont exceed the tyre limit labelled on side wall you'll be fine.
ideal comfort would be around 34-38 i run 40-42 on my 18 inch and its okay may be a bit hard for you.

36psi and no more or less, good overall ride and performance for the street and mountains, 40 will have premature wear, been there done that, lol

only if camber is ****ed... minimum recommended for 40 profile is 40-42psi

justification is well covered here by JohnL and string:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105198&page=2

but heres my theory on why honda members specifically here are the only ones that disagree with higher pressures for 40 profile or less:
- rice mods of massive wheels with uncorrected camber
- cheap as shit tyres

i have nothing against big wheels but you guys should really read the other thread where JohnL explains the width of bigger wheel/tyre combos in relation to why you guys think lower pressures are better.

- Don't listen to fully sick WHEEL shops.. you guys know who they are... in terms of suspension and tyre geometry i would listen to TYRE/SUSPENSION shops even bob jane, jax and even pedders rather what WHEEL shops think they know.... they tell you to go for lower pressures because the demographic of customers they have like big wheels with sussy dumped on its arse and -40 thousand negative camber

***EDIT***
eternityz: just noticed your using re001's definitely go 40psi... had you said falken ziex or kuhmo or nankang something along those lines i probably would've agreed with everyone else saying 36-38psi

totally diagree with the following, I would not recommend nor would any tire shop for anyone regarless of brand of tires to run those sort of pressures for the street. 34-36 at highest otherwise it'll wear prematurely... been there done that

At what pressure, what camber, what caster, what tyre width?
