I currently drive a DC2 ITR and i am looking at getting an import EG6.
Seeing i am in the civic forum can someone enlighten me on a fair price? 10-12? more or less? Car should have about 90K or so on the clock...
all advice appreciated :)
Nick i thought Eg'6 aren't eligable for imports at the moment? well not under the 15 year rule neway
but if you looking at private imports, and the ones u can get here u would be looking at a market price of abt 15K with 110K on the clock, reason for this reason is the rarity of these machines

ohh ok... 15?? even if the car isn't in great nick?
u looking to buy in melb?
put it this way, vti models are going for what 13-15K depending on condition
i don't really expect them to go less then 15K unless they were really desparate to sell.
Plus to come by an EG6 in melb is a rare thing. Most have already been used for half-cuts.
Your better off going a breeze hybrid cost u about the same, if not less plus money for extra goodies.
James should be able to put the engine for u easily, but dunno what he would charge ya

I have a JDM EG5 with EG6 bits. but its all showy and shit too so thats why I'd only let it go for a decent price.

it might be better just buying a breeze/gli and doing the conversion...

yea I tell you my whole SIR conversion cost alot less than 15 grand.. but then again it doesn't have alot of the goodies..
i guess it all depends on how much ur base costs
z10 if your selling ur lil civ for 15K i'm sure alot of us would be bidding for it

what is the reason for changing? there is a big difference in performance between the dc2r and an eg6. if its just for a change i say dont do it. if its for any other reasons then an eg6 is a good compromise for a car approx half the price.
i did exactly the same thing as you. i sold my dc2r and ended up getting a breeze conversion with jdm b16a, sussy mods, dc2r brakes and wheels, intake and headers...few other goodies. i can honestly say it does not compare to the dc2r, but for half the price is a reasonable compromise.
so my opinion dont do it unless you have to!

Soundstreamer i don't have to i think i want to... plus i think it will probably be a good little daily driver. Nothing wrong with the b16a

hmmmm options eh? i was also looking into an old AE86... more money to spend on mods... as it is even if i transplant
get a civic breeze for 7-8
engine for 2-3
plus all the fun stuff 5
im looking at approx 16.
I could do all this on an AE and still be under 10. Decisions, decisions.
nice car by the way baopham - engine bay is very tidy
