I don't know if its an annual or once of sale but i got it at Ferntree Gully. The wait was quite long but since i booked it last min, then not much could be done.

The guys there are awesome, they dont drop your wheel and offer great service. Even lowered the price slightly after i said i would pay cash and get a wheel allignment

< $119 FTW

They ( BTC ) tend to discount every 2-3 mths, and offer 4 sizes for discounting for the calender month. You'll find this offer promoted via the btc.net.au site, junk snail mail and newspaper insert.

Now that Bridgestone Aust is a wholly owned company of Bridgestone Jp, their pricing structure is a lot more competitive for all B/stone tyres. The middle men get cut out and you wont be paying for the middle men's rebate/incentive egwhen buying Toyo, Kelly and Kumho tyres thru the tyrepower chain where they aggressively promote their high incentive brands over other brands such as Michelins, Dunlops, Goodyears etc.

And now that most of the re001 range is made in Australia, they cost even them even less to put on the shelves.

They used to offer 195/50 15 and 195/55 15 on specials, but now they also discount the 195/60 15 size as well now that 60 series re001 are avail, you might be waiting for a while for your 195 tyres to be discounting and the rrp price could well be $140-160 range which would really suck. Need to find a frenly BTC or local non anti B/stone tyre outlet who would give you a bit of discount.

from where?

I was lucky that I had some spare cash when the Aussie $ was around 0.95USD. I imported them through www.tirerack.com from USA. I doubt the performance difference is all that much between the RE001 and RE01R to be honest. RE001 have gone for insane prices over here, very good deals.

Care to elaborate on this "big difference"? You've obviously tested both tyres vigorously, I'd love to hear some results.

thanks for the input, ya the sale was back in the month of 10. which i dint think i was going to get another wheels lol. but yea reason to source this was to match the pair re01 that comes with it. 170$ is abit steep for a 15".
