View Full Version : Opinion on Zinik Z24 19" or 20" wheels????

I've decided on Zinik Z24 chrome with black inserts for my new wheels.

I'm still not sure whether to get 19" or 20", I'm worried about 20's having less rubber and if i hit one pot hole the wheel will be damaged straight away. I want to lower the car too and i think 19's will still look good on a lowered car. The price difference between the 2 sizes is only $200 or so.

CHeck out these links of the wheels. The wheels are photoshopped onto the ride by Mild2wild resotrations, the place i'm getting the wheels from. Let me know what you guys think.

Looks mad! I do like those.

CL9's look sweet on 19's.
20's look too big IMO, but it would suit that style.

I'd personally go for 19's.

Not for me personally but i can see why you like them, they're not bad. What's the offset?Thet look like they're not the right offset for a Euro.

Stock is +55. That means that the rim mounting is 55mm towards the outside of the rim from the center of the rim.

Rims with huge dish have a very low offset like +20. These rims will not fit our euro's with out major surgery.

Nope, not a fan either, but thats just me also. LOL.
Coz its just chrome, go 20s or some crap coz you seem to be heading down the sexspec line.

so for an example, i wanted these rims:

20*8.5 Jaagruti J-72 Black

will they fit my 08 euro?

Well since your going with Tempe, they "will" fit. Dont matter if they dont.. $1999, wheels + tyres + balanced + lock nutz, done.

What's the problem? If your going chrome the standard path is 20's really and dump it on its ass. Dont bother with 19s on chromies. Looks too small.

20's + rubber band tyres + lock nuts + balanced = done deal. Tempe or Ozzy or TTF.

Nfi what the offset is on the Zinik's but i checked and re-checked with the place i'm getting them from and they said it will definitely fit my euro, so thats good enough for me :) I might still ask for the offset values out of curiosity though.

Not a fan of Tempe tyres, Ozzy are good but the best so far for customer service and variety of wheels has gotta be Mild to wild restorations in wagga wagga. Might be getting my suspension done through them too.

Not really keen on rubber bands for tyres, so 19's for the win and once its lowered it should look as hot as adrianna lima........almost :p

thanks for the input, sorry guys.. but i'm new to modding cars.. and i have no idea how parts go as this is my first car.. i've done alot to my car already and god it SO complex'ed

if i do end up getting 20*8.5 Jaagruti J-72 Black rims.. does the coilovers have to be installed first or it can be done after my 20's have been installed?

20 would only raise your car and still have gappage.
So i reckon getting coilovers first + wheels almost together.

tempe + ozzy should have them i think.

Here's my old mate Mick's car lowered on D2 coilovers, with 19' HP's.

He has moved on to BMW a while ago, but I have seen this car with my own eyes, it was magical. The 19's looked perfect.
