Dynamat (http://shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=dynamat&_sacat=See-All-Categories)

dynamat for the win. want even more, some foam expanding filler from bunnings into the gaps then dynamat.

also dynamat the back of your number plate.

a good tip is closed cell foam from bunnings bought in strip between 2 rattling surfaces.

a sound deadened with no rattles FTMFW

^^ As he said. Just dynamat the boot lid. Also is your subs facing away from your boot? If thats the case dynamat might not rid it completely and you might have to deal with a little of boot rattle, facing them towards the front would help plenty.

I doubt they would sell it at bunnings.

Try all car audio shops, Autobahn, the website ryda and also ebay.

JB-HIFI also has pretty much the same product as dynamat called stinger.

So you have alot of places to try good luck :p

bunnings have flash tac which if you used 3 layers of would equal dynamat but after 3 layers it would cost the same? stinger road kill is ok dynamat extreme is better.

Yeah quality, lasting and cost wise later on your better off with proper deadening. Flashtec Ive heard in heat can fall off which you don't want haha.

Also i wouldn't say extreme is better, road kill is a bit thicker :D. But yeah the differences would be very minimal.

You cant go wrong with both brands.

I use stripes of flash tac and then stick dynamat on top of them. For flat surface only as flashtac is not too sticky

Aprrox price of dynamat?

Also, does it add much weight? I'm thinking of putting my sub back in the car, but with a bigger amp ;-) hehe

most specialists have em for about $300 for a bulk pack. can be found for less if you know where to look..

weight, depends how much you intend to use.. but a single bulk pack is about 2-3kgs, not much.. the sound improvement far outweighs that tiny weight gain.

Yeah ebay you can get it for a little under 250. But yeh some stores you can get them for 250ish, just need to know how to talk..

The weight for the xtreme bulk pack of dynamat is probably around 7-10 kg, as the the actual pack is about 11 kg. But yeah expect huge gains, reduction of road noise and no rattles on the outside!

singer?

you mean stinger? as in stinger roadkill?

its not made by alpine, its made by stinger

and do you have direct comparisons between the two to back your point?

I just bought some dynamat extreme. i think its a pretty good product. pretty exxy for what it is though. But will be well worth it when it comes to sound quality.
