dc2 vti-r water temp problem

Hi guys, i found in my 99 dc2 vti-r, every time when i start and drive it, the water temp gauge will stay in the very left hand side cold original position, no matter how long i drive it. but once i stop, the temp will go to normal position which is half to the middle.

is this really like a electronic issue or things like water pump....etc?

maybe the thermostat is gone and needs replacing?

yes i think so and i have just read the threat on the top and found this is a common problem for teg. thanks anyway
