hey guys.

I am looking around for a good honda engine builder / reconditioner / and fitter.

At the moment I have a civic with the D15 twin carb engine. I am looking at simply buying a reconditioned 1.5L engine to replace the current one, and I want it to be EFI not carby.

If anyone could post some details for anyone in sydney or hunter areas that do these engine installs that would be great.

Try Robert at Hannys performance in smithfield

PH: 97255115 in Smithfield.

As long as its not a 'performance modification' he might do it.

Whats wrong with the current one? or do you just want EFI?

the engine is getting tired and blowing smoke. its due for a rebuild, so i want to simply get a reconditioned engine with EFI.

I am not spending too much money on the civic, just enough to make it last and get me around at this stage.

LOL @ Charlie-speak ;)

Robbie doesn't - but if you are outside his shop on a Saturday morning, you'll see why he doesn't. Word of mouth and the place is a Honda Mecca ;)

I dropped a replacement D15 into an old GL I had for 800 bucks - Honbits organised it.

The D15 didn't have EFi in Australia or Japan, only the single-point Fi in the US. Get a D16 varient - but be prepared to track down the ancilleries/ECU/wiring loom.

Cheers
