hey was wondering if it was possible to defect foggies on my em1? how do we prove that the yellow beam is actually stock or do cops know?

anytime the foggies are on (whether their stock or aftermarket) is a defect, the foggies can only been used in foggy weather.

its about 80 bucks for the fine if defected with the foggies on

hope that helped.

The fact isnt that they are a OEM or aftermarket, its the fact that it shouldnt be used at all on these roads, as in this country you will very very rarely come into deep fog where you will need them and the yellow beam isnt very 'road safe' for other drivers

cops dont mind if the foggies are on the car, but their used inappropriatly (such as normal evenings and nights where fog lights dont have to be used) there's a fine right there.

it annoys me when there's a car behind with yellow lights..

so are you guys saying even stock foggies on commordores etc can get you into trouble if used at night?

Yes, if there is no deep fog (thus not requiring them to be on) then you can get fined as soon as you switch them on.

the only time they can be used is in a FOG thats why they call them fog-lights

You can only use headlights when getting head thats why they are called head lights

Clearly haven't done too many 3 or 4 am hill climbs! I was under the impression that if a car does not come stock with fog lights it is a defectable offense to actually have them on ur car. Its just that the cops don't care too much if u don't hav them on and u get away with it.

No thats HID's, you can put foglights on the car for the sole purpose of using them in foggy conditions.

yeh but these fog lights can be made from honda? and facelift has a place for those fog lights. so no defect i guess. my original Q was i think abt if its after market but replaces OEM does it still warrant a defect in this case a fog light.

no its not a defect!! its not defective, it doesnt warrant the car unsafe if you have them installed.

use some common sense people!!

its just a fine if you get caught using them in non foggy conditions

thanks, i think trisms sounds most reasonable.
