i wanna service my car by myself.
can anyone point out..what stuff i need to replace or check? thanks :D

not a major service i think.

no not a major service change oil and filter check your water in your overflow bottle and window washer water and she is all sweet.

i wanna know how to top up da gear box oil, as i have a short shifter...
i dunno if tats da problem.
seems so hard to put in gears sometimes.
my friend got same car as me...it's much easier..very smooth too.

do a search and you will find a few threads with deltailed info on what need to be inspected/replaced at what KM intervals.

honda cars seem to be a bitch to put in gear sumtimes!

Don't bother topping up the transmission fluid. You're better off just changing it. Once changed you will noticed that it'll be much smoother when changing gears. the short shifter shouldn't make it harder to change gears (unless you did a bodgie job by cutting the gear stick). The short shifter will make it a bit more notchy. That is, you will feel it going into gear.

try going into second, and then shift into reverse...I find it helps to stop the crunch...

edit, woops didn't see the post about 4th gear first...forget I am even here :o

also if its sahe to do so, have your car in neutral and hand brake off and foot of brake just as your about to select R
