Im not sure if it belongs in this section but its the only place i see fit

Anyway i have a Boomerang Alpha-2000 alarm. The previous owner lost the remote for it. The alarm itself has really neat features.

Ive been scouring the internet for a replacement remote but cant seem to find much. (Yes i have also searched the forum).

Is it possible to use a different remote and just reprogram it?

TIA

Hmmmm there is a place in Sydney i just dunno what its called that will have boomerang alarms, as the alarm has stopped being made, its very hard to source and people who do have them use the alarms as spare parts for those who have the alarm like you.

Maybe if there is a Jetspeed in Sydney they can help you out?
As the Jetspeed in Melb used to deal those alarms

Actually i may have a remote, ill get back to you

its waterlogged ?~

go get it still. and chuck it in the fridge and/or pour distilled water in it before chucking it in the fridge.

hey i did some more research for you. it will probably be hard to get a boomerang remote. the exact one your talking about has a screen does it not ~and 4 buttons underneath ?. you will have to get a python or even viper alarm (moongoose and rhino alarms can also work but ive never seen a screen remote for them) and then reprogram it.

super cheap auto also has this stuff. but there are always clueless girls working at super cheap

try and fix the one you getting tonight. just take the battery out and leave the remote in the fridge.

then replace battery next morning and see how it goes.

No idea how much a remote would be but~

Hmmm

I had a similar problem

Do you have the instruction booklet?

As the booklet from memory there were 2 booklets, it had instructions to tell the remote to find (if you like) your cars module

If i still had the alarm and booklet i would write it out but unfortunately i don't have it, assuming that's what you meant about reception, that its not finding your car or any car!
