prob less hassel just buying a muffler that has one already fitted, otherwise you'd have to custom make one, drill into your existing muffler, etc etc

buy a new muffler, weld it up, problem solved, seen a few nice ones forsale at Midas the other day

or put another resonator in the system to quiet it down

go to your local sprint/supercheap, and grab some exhaust putty.

then close to the end of the tip of your exhaust, mold a little lump all the way around, with roughly a 2inch opening. make sure its a smooth lump on the side facing outwards, and a steep angle on the side closest to the rest of your exhaust system.

let it dry, and it should do the job. worked fairly well for my 4 inch cannon.

don't bother even the canon ones fall off.
I made one and it worked well, but then it fell off one day and i couldn't be bother making another one.

easiler just to get another muffler

there is no need to get another muffler. These silencers are available from some exhaust shops in 3"...or possibly ebay. You may need to drill a small hole in the canon's tip to fit it.
Yes they sometimes come off, but check the mounting bolt regularly and should be fine.

x2 for a new muffler man. if its too loud and u need a silencer get rid of it. better option for the long run

If you really want to make one try this…

1. Cut a disk out of sheet metal the size of your exhaust tip
2. Cut a hole in the disk you have just made
3. Place tube in back of hole and weld
4. Get a thin strip of sheet and turn it into a cylinder
5. Weld cylinder onto front of disk
6. Drill hole in the outer cylinder to attach to car
7. Rivet the new silencer to the muffler

or could make it slightly smaller, and drill holes on the side of cylinder and use screws to hold it in from the sides :)

that way you can take it off whenever you like

silenced cannons sound like shit!!! farty and plain gay!!!!!

my vote would be another hotdog in your system. $50 fitted from an exhaust shop. save your time money and hassle and stupid noise silencers make and keep the straight flowing pipe for more power. or get a triflow hotdog for even quieter but less power.

You can still get done even with a silencer.. Only way you won't get done is if the silencer is welded on rather then just 'screwed' on.
