should be clips that you can access fromt eh inside of the boot lid

yea i saw some clips or screws before, but just was wondering if there was anything more than that i couldn't see.

like to be prepared before tackling it.

not so certain for an EK sedan but, on EK hatch theres three plastic clips under where the numberplate light is,
then from the inside theres one main clip in the middle which you push with some pliers and two 8mm nuts to be undone.
then it should just come out.

Just make sure you get all the clips off before you yank at it. Ive broken WAY too many clips and stuff all around the car by just yanking away without thoroughly checking.

Okay thanks for that,

I guess my next question is, is the number plate bolted to the plastic thing only or passing through the plastic thing and bolted to the boot

Just wondering if i can still have the number plate still on the car so i can drive around while i get that plastic bit colour coded.

its bolted directly to the boot so you can still mount it without the plastic backing on.

Got the pics now

1. unscrew licence plate off
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o242/bboykenske/newcar003.jpg

2. unscrew the three small screws on the top bit of the plastic and take out the clips holding the small screws
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o242/bboykenske/newcar005p.jpg

3. then on the boot lid where the lock is, press the middle part of the clip inwards and they pop out.

4. yank out the plastic bit on the boot lid to access the bolts holding the outside plastic. (this needs a bit of a tug, sorta like taking off the door trims)
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o242/bboykenske/newcar007.jpg

5. unscrew the two bolts holding the plastic
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o242/bboykenske/newcar008.jpg
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o242/bboykenske/newcar009.jpg

6. then, holding the outside plastic from the middle, yank it off and do whatever you want with it.

you can still bolt the number plate without that numberplate surrounding anyways.

yea i'm really happy how thay turned out. This place i go to to get my stuff spray painted do such a good job, I just give them the colour code thats it. Don't want to leave my car there so i don't get it blended in.

I guess you gotta keep the car looking the same with clear coat n all to be consistent.

i get them done at alto smash repairs

i'm sure that if you go to any decent smash repairs they would paint it and also give them the colour code and car model.

were do you get that stuff from?

PEPS liverpool or fairfield
i stuffed up once but since then learnt from it and the paint job should turn out too bad
yeah they customize ur paint for you all you have to do is give them the colour code, they mix it on the spot and put it in a can for you, its abit pricey for paint but if u noe wat ur doing u can save yourself hundreds on getting all these parts sprayed 'professionally
just gotta make sure when ur painting to turn the nozzle of the can up with a pair of pliers or something
