Question about springs...

I was wondering....

If someone were to use a spring designed for a lighter car on one that is heavier. Will this cause any damage to the springs?

shouldnt ..alll it should do is make it lower and a bit less bouncy

old ford n holdens used to do this as a cheap way to lower the front use 6cyl
springs in v8 car

don't you mean 6cyl spring in a v8. just more sag and softer spring rate that the only down side. good to run teg rear spring and eg fronts ;)

Does the 88-91 model Civic share the same springs as the 92-95?

If this is true, would aftermarket springs also share the same properties?
