I own a 2001 Civic Vi 4dr hatch and wish to replace the seats with something more comfortable. Has anyone replaced their seats with other Honda seats,e.g. Integra, Prelude or CRV? If so which seat requires the least modification to fit my car?

^ Bump, I'm also on the same boat, seat is crap and uncomfortable and is starting to squeak whenever I corner. :\

Anyone got any ideas on what seats will fit direct swap?

get ep3/dc5 seats and rails. i think they are the same - i can check this weekend for you's if you like. i've got evo 6 tomcat recaros for both driver and passenger, with dc2 low rails and got some guy to weld on some metal bits so that i could bolt it down onto my civic eu. when i had the stock seats in, i was sitting so high and almost fall out if i took a corner a little bit too hard. now, its really really nice! save a bit and invest in a set of proper sports/racing seats! you'll love it!!!

here are a couple pics of mine!!

When you say EP3 and DC5 rails fit a Vi/EU do you mean the seat plus rails bolts into the floor after removing stock seat and rails or do you mean the seat will bolt onto the rails by the small bolts going sideways under the seat? I know my rails where they bolt to the floor are completely different to those of the other Hondas and the bolt spacing is much narrower at 38cm compared to others at about 43cm because the Vi brackets bolt inward of the rails!

yo~!

i'm talking about the seat rails bolt directly to our eu/es's. the two at the front bolt on vertically, and the two at the back - one bolts vertically, and one bolts onto the floor. when i mean vertically, there are these bits in the chassis that raise off the floor for the seats to sit on, probably for added strength and stability, and that is where 3 of the bolts go, and the last one bolts onto the floor of the car.

Thanks Mate! That's what I need to know! I was looking at some DC2 Integra seats on Ebay and thought the rails looked too wide. Most of the seats available are usually Typre R seats which the sellers want $1000+ for or they're overseas. One day some base model Integra seats may be available hopefully a little cheaper. Now I know what to look for narrows the search a lot! Cheers! John.
