I've got a MRP-F200 alpine sub and 2 rear alpine speakers, the front speakers are connected directly to the head unit and the 2 rear are connected to the am. i was wandering if anyone show me how i would connect a sub to the amp. for example if it would even be possible with this amp or would i need to buy another amp just for the sub and show me how i would connect it.
thanks

have you got specs on the amp?
googled it?

well the amp is only 40x4, stick your speakers onto that.
so your better off getting a mono block amp for your sub.
depending on what sort of sub it is will determine the amp you require.

if you go to the search on the toolbar there should be a diy for it, if not request one.
other option pay for it to get installed by JB HIFI, Strathfield or a mate.

for example
so say you have a mtx sub that is 250W rms.
you need an amp relatively close to 250W rms to run it right and get the best performance out of it.

if your subs not that powerful just bridge the other 2 channels for it

still the amp only puts out 100rms bridged. it will sound like shit.

ahh im gonna use the 100w x 2 for the 2 rear speakers. i think the other option for me is to connect a mono bloc amp to the pre-out and connect the sub to the new amp. im lookin at a 10" sub since im driving an eg hatchy

ahh 10" wise prob go for a decent brand. me personally go for mtx tr551044. mid series dual voice coil. responsive and punchy.
