stock for stock vti and si have the same kw output, si is dohc non vtec so it'll have more torque down low and vti is sohc vtec so it'll have a better top end

i strongely suggest you get EFI, not carby models, such as breeze or GL.

so try and find GLi Si VTi. Do some research before you go out n buy.

For example, how to tell the difference between each engine and so forth.

VTi & Si are the best for EG, if you're low on budget and cant afford those, go for GLi?
But never get a GL or a breeze. Sh*t box LOL.

It really depends what you want to do with the EG.

EG GLi = 74kws no vtec, its got fuel injection which makes it better than the GL's & Breeze. Also it has power options :) and a tacho.

Breeze is the lightest out of all EG's.

you get a sunroof and cup holders in a vti too :p

Si or Vti are both your best bet.

Si can be had cheap these days too.

Edit - forgot to add: Si and Vti both have rear disks brakes and rear sway bars, which is what you want

Carby motors are much more simple to work on then EFi lol.
