y0 ( sorry 4 the long rite up^^)

Im after Buddyclubs N+'s coilover for my VTi-R integra...

However the two rear struts come with a ball joint for fitting to a type R.
ITR rear lower control arms would need to be fitted in order to get the coilover on my car.

I have since rang buddyclub and found that a set with the rear forkes could be ordered for an extra $200-$300 ( plus up to a two mouth wait..)

Vti- control arm

ITR

Weather i go to replace the rear control arm ( depending what price i can get a pair for) or special order the set with the forkes they work out at roughly the same price.

Considering it is harder to install a set with new control arms as they wil probably need bushs and im not sure what this will cost....

What do you think i should do? Order the fork set or source and install new ITR control arms?

My other question is... Both the VTi-R and EGs have the fork configureation ( only the ITR have the ball joint), would you be able to use the set with forks on EGs... ( weather i sell them or stick on my next EG..)

Sorry if this is abit confusing but i would really appreciate some opinions asap :)

thanks

it is as simple as getting a set of LCAs designed for ITR or CTR (eg6 and ek9) they are both the same part and will bolt up to your vtir

so in your opinion install the ITR LCA. And get the balljoint set as they are good for eg6s and ek9s...

btw, what does CTR stand for ?

thanks

civic type r, just like ITR is integra type r

i just re read it and you havnt ordered them yet?

i thought you had already received them

in that case just get the fork type ones, itll be easier

ctr stands for civic type R,
it would be better off getting the itr lca as you can put in itr swaybars later on.

depends how much money you want to spend.

Quicker to just source ITR or EG6 rear lower control arms. These will suit a any EG or DC chassis.

FYI , you can use a ITR rear swaybar regardless if using standard (vtir) or itr lower control arms.

I find it's easier to source sussy/coilovers for the ball joint type as opposed to forks. Depends on how long you plan on keeping the car and whether you think you'll need to replace the sussy in future ;) Not many members keep their cars for as long as I do.

Either way will work for you.

thanks 4 your replys guys :)

Your rite Trism, i havnt got them yet, but i would like to asap.

To answer ur question Bennjamin, originaly i plan on spending $400 just on new springs, but as you can see it have blown up a little bit :P lol

I dont plan on keeping the car for a huge amount of time and I dont plan to track it. I was hoping to part out my car when it came to sell and i was hoping to put the kings/shocks that are on the car atm back into it. That plan will be that much harder if i change the control arms....

My question is, if i go to sell the coilover, which would be in more demand/ sell easyer? The Ball or fork? One is a easy fit for a ITR the other just a VTi-R. Ive herd that the fork will fit the run of the mill EG. But as you pointed out the ball works for the eg6 and ek9 ( sorry not 2 sure the differnce between EGs)

Im thinking if I get an EG after this teg i can can swap the coilover over... Would this work ?

Ofcourse i would like them as quicly as possable,Time should really matter to do it properly and to keep my future options open...

thanks again guys, i really need to decide soon....:)

friend used ITR LCA in his vti-r for ITR struts. done =] so guess you could just find ITR LCA around. gotta make your own abs bracket tho i think.

ek9 and eg6/itr lca are not the same.
ek9 are fork type lca and are also longer than eg6/itr lca.

it wont be harder if you swap the controls arms.

Its three bolts. you jus swap the control arms back in with the springs that suit.. ffs

and yes. eg civic and DC integra suspension is all swapable. you can just take your setup from the integra and bolt it up to the civic.

a search would have answered ALLLLLLL your questions.
