when you say wont start, does it crank but not fire, or just get a tick noise when you turn the key.

yeah i think it just needed a bit of a clean inside it and a nice blow out of the inside of the starter- also umm cleaned sum of the parts so that there was better conduction--- i think das wat it was- im sure john will add to this---

yeah mine had the same problem too, mine's a 97... pulled the starter off and cleaned it, and put it back on, no more... wonder what it was.

The plunger in the solenoid of the starter gets a bit crappy from the arcing between the contacts. what you do is pull down the solenoid, clean the contacts with a wire wheel, if one of the contacts is worn more than the other, you put a peice of paper under it to raise it higher so when the plunger strikes it will make a good contact with both contacts. then blow all the dust n' crap out of the starter and solenoid. check the brushes and bearings, if ness add more greace to the gear set.

I will get a digi cam soon and spam the DIY section :)
