Hey all,

I can feel a vibration that comes throug the steering wheel and accelerator pedals etc at 3400rpm. It's only slight, but if you're sitting constantly on the freeway at 3400rpm, you certainly notice it. It doesn't happen at 3300rpm, the car starts vibrating at 3400rpm, and slowly disappears as it passes 3500rpm.

Before I hunt the car to see whats vibrating, I was wondering if the engine is doing some funky shit (:p) at 3400rpm with any cams or fuel, or anything that might be causing the vibration? It defintely seems to be coming from the engine area, but I haven't had a chance to look into it properly. I took the air box lid off ...

Any advice / ideas? It's booked in for a service this Friday, but i'd prefer to find the problem myself :)

Regards,
Tommo :)

I actually took the air box lid off to see if it would eliminate the problem, but unfortuantely it hasn't.

It does it with the air box on or off...

is it possible the balance shaft belt is stuffed? that could cause the vibes..I had this problem when I had some work done to my Cordia a few years ago..turned out the balance shaft belt was out of time with the rest of the motor.how many kms on the motor?

50,000, with all recommended Honda service points complete.

Oh well - i'll mention it to my mechanic and see what he says :)
