Anyone ever disassemble the gear knob?
it seems pretty hard, any tricks?
I ordered a Integra Type R aluminum gear knob. It'll fit the Euro, just not sure how to get the stock ones off.

I read somewhere to pull down the black plastic ring that is below the gearknob before unscrewing the knob.

cheers mate,
I've found the link on a neuspeed website.
I've also ordered a shortshift kit, once I get them, I'll do a review.

I thought the shift is short enough! I wouldn't mind hearing about your impressions though.

Yeah, I thought the shift is short already too. but they said it will reduce the throw by another 30%. for $60 bucks...I'd give it a go.

Please post up a step by step with photos guide when you disassemble your knob. Should be handy for future forumers searching for this info.
BTW, how much was your type R knob and where did you order it from? I was thinking of getting one before. Now I am looking at the Momo Combat Evo knob

Im getting it from USA on ebay.
just the Integra RSX-S gear knob, about $US 36 = $AUD 50. plus shipping would be $ 15 dollars...total roughly around $65.
Honda Australia wants $320 + GST for the same stuff. Ouch, they are not titanium why cost so much?

Good price. Even the Momo costs AU$157 here, while in US it's US$80.
Hehe, Honda thinks anything with the Honda logo is worth its weight in gold. Hmm, that means our cars are sold at discount? HAHAHA
