Hi guys,

I recently bought a clutch and I thought I may aswell change the gearbox over when I have the car apart to save some hassle.

I was just wondering, what are the fd specs on a audm itr box and sitting at 100kph what rpm will be sitting at in 5th gear?

Regards,
Andrew

I think I am sitting on 3500rpm at 100kph, or is it at 110kph? I am not sure. Either way it is over 3000rpm at 100kph.

Well you must also take into account that your needles on both your speedo and tacho might be out...

On the MFactory gear calculator, with a small diametre tyre (tyres play a major role aswell) it says 3400rpm. Im guessing with a bigger tyre you could get it abit lower...

There is no point saying it IS EXACTLY this rpm... Every car will be different.. It will be better to say roughly this rpms etc.. My guess is that most tachos will say around 3400-3700rpms, however it will be more like 3300rpm-3600rpm

What does the idle have to do with it 90LAN?
