Hi Guys,
I am just wondering if you guys out there heard of "Instant Car Buyers" located around Smithfield area.
I just received a call from them saying that they are interested in my car that I posted on carsales. They would like me to drive my car down this weekend for inspection.
Anyone had any experience from them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I've heard of this method from another car dealer. What they do is. They get you to bring down your car. They inspect it. Ask you how much you want for it.
Then they will propose to detail your car and have it on their yard for potential buyers to see for 1-2weeks. And they'll charge youa fee for it as well.
If they don't sell the car, and you take it back, you'll have to pay for the detail they did on your car as well.

Yeh don't bother with selling it to a car yard.. They'll probably buy it of you for the lowest price possible and then sell it for a 2 or 3k more.. trust me.. if they can sell it for 2 or 3k more.. don't you think its worth selling it to someone else?

They're not going to buy it off you. It's more like you're paying them a fee for an advertising space on their car yard.

Damn!
Thanks guys. I was quite skeptical about all this.
I knew that it's not going to be so easy. Anyone heard of this particular dealer?

lol dont bother. got a call from two other dealers kept ringing me every two days. what they do is they say they wanna look at you car and give you close to what you want Basically from the start they got a set amount their gonna pay you which is way below asking price(which you wont like) then when you get there they start bringing up this and that(even problems you advertised) and try to impulse the eff outta ya to think you aint gonna get anymore and that their being pretty generous. pitch ends something like ''gee theres alot of work to be done mate...the boss couldnt do anymore than $x''. if you dont accept then thy'll try to sell you car space. so basically a win win for them once thy drag you out there. lol trust me im in sales =D

Friendly crowd and yes, it is an older post. It is a simple matter of clarification. Genuine buying services are a valid channel for trading. Thats all. If no input is required to unresolved or vague items then fine. Just ignore the post. I don't get the attitude."Wow"

Glocker was perfectly polite to you, especially considering the fact that you're an employee who has resurrected a dead thread in an effort to promote your business.

This sentence makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, so if you're the PR rep for Instant Car Buyers, the business is in terrible shape.
