My front left suspension dips and feels soft when cornering.

The 1st image is the nipple of my left shock with a little bit of oil and the other is my right side. Also there is more thread showing on the oily one, is this normal?

I have Eibach springs with the yellows on a BB6 Prelude.

Sorry for large pics, I chopped em but they are still kinda big!! :)

use the koni adjust knob and turn both to softest so you know that's the starting point and wind the know towards firm incrementally the same on both sides ie 1/2 turn 1/4 turn at a time etc.

make sure you dont keep turning the knob once it's reached it's softest or hardest setting.

have u done a check on the shock body itself for oil as opposed to just the top?

i know koni knobs do not provide linear adjustments. JohnL will be able to post a link which tested yellows on a shock dyno.

The shock body has some oil residue but not a great amount, as for turning soft/hard they still have there limits.

I go around a couple of suspension shops and get some opinions and let you know the outcome.

Yeah.. why issit that there is more thread , showing on one side vs the other side??? does that mean, one side is tightened down more?

uh as above, one shock isn't done up properly

get a 19mm wrench and a 9mm wrench
remove the first nut then use the 19mm to tighten the bottom nut while using the 9mm wrench to hold the shock shaft still
once it's tight put on the second nut and tighten it down so it hold's the bottom nut

I've got a similair problem with my Koni Yellow Shocks, I drive a 99 CK Accord 4 CYL.

From the drivers p.o.v the left handside Shock seems to have more thread and also a bit of oil residue. I have also noticed when turning the Knob it doesnt stop turning, it just keep turning. However the Right hand side seems to be turning fine and no oil residue to be seen.

Anyone have any advice or experiance before i head over to a suspension specialist.

Cheers.
