I'm looking at buying an 06+ TSX throttle body soon which is 64mm compared to our 60mm.

I know they're both DBW and made to bolt onto the same parts but I'm wondering if (apart from the bore) there are any other differences? The DBW system on the AUDM CL9 should be an exact plug in to the TSX throttle body right? ECU will relearn it perfectly eventually I assume?

Just trying to work out if there's any nasty suprises involved before I buy one and find them out first hand :p

the TSX has the same TB as us...

its the J32A3 TB thats 64mm off the Acura TL...

You'll need to block off your idle bypass valve tho...

Will I still need to block off the idle bypass on the TSX one/Does it have one?

im mistaken!

itll be direct bolt on then, no need for blanking off your idle control valve as the TSX TB will already have that bit...

Any rough time for the RSP being fitted? I might just buy an intake for the CL7R otherwise...

I think the stock gasket will be alright if I bore it out to 64mm, right?

if you bore the TB stock gasket out you might break it, it's only cardboard..... i tried taking mine off and it was caked onto the TB.

just go to your local auto shop and ask them if they have gasket material...(cardboard type) where you can cut it to suit.

hopefully in the next week or two :p

i made my own custom 65mm TB gaskets using a K24A3 gasket and K20Z1 gasket...

just used electrical shears to trim the circle bigger

Got it guys... hopefully my TSX throttle body comes with the 64mm gasket and I won't have to worry. Otherwise I'll try and source maybe a thermal one from P2R or Hondata (if they make them)
