Well basically when my car was driveable and with me, aha, it used to, on random occasions, grind into gears when the clutch is all the way to the floor.

Can anyone explain to me why this is so, what damage it is doing and what I need to do to fix it?

Someone suggested I double clutch, but I'm way too lazy to do that, aha.

Help is greatly appreciated! :D

Well, could be clutch related - but could also be your syncros.

You know what they are?

Clutch is aftermarket, and the previous owner didn't tell me what it was, but, the gearbox is a stock DA9 gearbox, if that helps?

Clutch has only done around 60,000 and is Heavy Duty, that's all I know :)

Which gears does it grind into?

3rd to 4th? 1st to 2nd? If so, does it happen at high revs?

If so, will most likely be your syncros inside your gearbox.

1st - 2nd, 2nd - 3rd, never 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th.

And yeah, high revs.

How do I go about getting it fixed? Mechanic obviously, but what can I expect to pay? :S

Have you changed the oil recently, might be worth just doing that and see how it behaves before you go taking it to someone or buying another.

sounds like synchros.

Are you changing like a fully sick hectic wanna be JDM racer boy? sounds like you are.

slow down on the roads and change slower and it will be fine.

Change that fluid too. will definately help.

Real JDM racers dont use the clutch to change gears..
