Hi all, I'm new to this forum.
Currently driving a corolla, but seriously looking at buying a Civic 'VTi' model.
Really like the look of them and was interested in some options that I'm not sure are possible.
1st i wonder if you can get the 17inch 'Sport' model wheels on a 'VTi'?
2nd i like the mirror indicators that are on the 'Sport' is it possible to get this on the 'VTi', this would mean different fenders?
I'm willing to wait for the car as i know i would have too, but do you guys/gals think this would possible, and would it put the price up ridiculous, as i do have a limited budget (that's why I'm looking at VTi)
Thanks :)

Those 17" sport wheels will cost you an arm and leg, also those mirrors indicators on them.
i would guess they might cost an extra 5K which you might as well buy the sports model it self.
which include leather, climate control, extra air bags, sun roof and bigger engine.

yup agreed.. its not worth spending that much... the mirror indicators are pricey... i got a quote in indonesia and it cost ard 400AUD just for it.. i believe its gonna be much more here...
for the rims, you can ask the people in the forum. they might have it..

wheel -- just buy aftermarket ones, many of them nicer than stock's sports
mirrior indicator --> buy oem = about AUD 750 from honda dealer, i bought about AUD600 last time after bargain and bargain.
and that's my biggest MISTAKE.
now : do not buy OEM, just buy MIRROR COVER with indicator for civic FD.
about 200-300 AUD from www. civicdrm.co.nr.
brighter light indicator *crystal cut inside*
good luck:thumbsup:

thanks for all the replies. think i'l ditch the sport wheels idea. dont think id get the sport civic may as well get an accord if i had that much dosh. Just with the mirror indicators i'd have to get new fenders wouldnt i? coz then i would have nice holes there heheh.. because i dont want the mirror ones and the indicators on the fenders, as that would look silly.

IT wouldn't hurt. I wanted to put yellow neons under the car and wire them up to the indicators such that if u were to indicate, the whole car would light up

i saw a FD do that.. near the eastwood area... except it was blue/purple neons.. blinked with his indicators.. haha
i asked dealer when i purchased my car how much it would cost to buy civic sport rims for my vti and he said that he wasnt allowed to sell them to me because different suspension? lol =\

which dealership was this at :S i had the option between the sports and vti-l alloys at the one near valley...(opted for the vti-L only cause they were cheaper)
it was at westpoint indooroopilly (sp) dunno how the fsck u spell it.. fkn dodgey bastards i do NOT recommend.. the agreement was to get the car ONLy if it would be here within 4-6 weeks. Manager says "oh dont worry, one of the other dealerships owes us a favour so getting in a nhbp won't be a problem we'll call you in a few hours" - no call back after 1 week. I call in and ask about the car and where its at.. "oh err.. manager isnt in atm so i'll tell him to call you back"
1 week later no call back i call again and ask wtf is happening - yes well the lady in charge of stock etc is not in atm, i'll tell her to call you back when she gets in from lunch.
1 week later i call in again - oh manager is on holiday now he'll be back in 2 weeks - but supposedly stock lady controls this??
i call back in 2 weeks so by this point in time it is roughly 5 weeks, after next week i wont want the car as i need it to get to uni/work - manager is still no-where to be seen so i say immediately when i call to put me to whoever is in charge. that person conveniently isnt there and i get ASSURED i'll get a call back during the day..
at the end of the day i get a call from this man saying that he's busy with customers and will call me as soon as its done with - no cal back.
i call again next day and say that this is ****ing retarded and you have the worst business/customer service skills i've ever witnessed.. he says that the car is on a ship and they dont know exactly how long it will take to get here. Ok so you run a business that has no idea when and where your stock will be able to be sold onto customers yet take deposits and talk shit in the meantime. - (as they say.. delaerships get your deposit then forget you.. - yet their motto at indro was "your in 'our' area and we look after our 'own' " rofl..
so i let time roll into the 6th week - parents are pissed becos it was a 6 week deal, i say that i dont want the car and i have another one lined up i want to purchase and in return i get hit with a - "if you dont want it a 10% fee will be charged to you for making us go to the effort of getting the car in".. so i'd have to pay 2.2k just to part ways with these ****ers and then pay the 10k to get the eg i wanted.. so just stuck with it and got the fd.. cant wait until i get the letter from honda asking about the customer service etc of the dealership (which the dealership offered me a full tank of fuel for free if i gave it to them and didnt fill in and send to honda aus.)
wow fkn rant over =\
*** For the lazy people**
* deal breaker was for car to be here 4-6weeks
* everytime i called in, no-one there and called back once
* 6 weeks up and then they say they dunno how long cars take to get into australia rah rah rah - who knows where the car is and how long it takes etc etc and that they cant say an exact date becos if something goes wrong they'd be going back on their word - LOL?
* 7th week in - no car and they say if u dont want it u gotta pay 10% = 2.2k ..
*gg
hey .k. I might be on the same boat as you.. its been two weeks now and dealer hasn't call me up yet!! I am not in that hurry to get it though... but if it take much longer than this, i will ask for freebies lolz (hope not too too long though!!)

Lol yeah bad of them to tell you it would take 4-6 weeks. Should have written it on the contract...
I waited 3.5 months from date of order to delivery.

Minor rattles... but my last car was very bad with rattles... so this is very quiet for my standards. If you want no rattles spend more than 25-30K for a car.
i dont really hear any rattles.. just the air-con is noisy when im stopped at lights etc sounds like engine is struggling?
