current parts which was tuned with :
mugen catback
xforce 4-2-1 header
injen CAI
HONDATA

ive got a xfoce 4-2-1 header currently on the car and i received a gift of a friend which was a JDM 98 4-2-1 header. which one is better?

if i went on a dyno with my tuned hondata and with the jdm header(which was not tuned with the ecu), would i still gain power?

sorry for the noobish question

you will just have to dyno to find out.

the 4-2-1 may not necessarily give more kws, but may give you a slightly better curve.

poo you do mean 98 4-1 header right ?
if you change the mod you must change the tune to optimize it.

exactly. 98+ JDM dc2R is the above.
pre 98 is a 2 piece 4-2-1 , same as our local ITR.

thought there was three versions?
4-2-1 with 2"(or 2.25"?) collector
4-2-1 with 2.5" collector
4-1 with 2.5" collector

AUDM DC2 R header (stock 4-2-1) is approx 2.25"

The 96 Spec JDM DC2 R 4-2-1 header is 60mm OD outlet (approx 2.5")
Same as 98 Spec 4-1 JDM DC2R, S2000, FD2 CTR etc etc
They all use the same donut gasket which though comes with a variety of part numbers,
Is interchangable.
Flange to suit is available & in stock at JDM Yard.
Probably gasket too.
