hay guys got a dc2

just wondering if you flush out all your coolent in your radiator n engine when you go to fill it back up does it matter if there is air in your system ?

this is what i think: it doest matter if there is air in your cooling system, BECOZ when your car starts up the cooling system cycles and when it get to the air bubble in the system the system will automatically suck coolent out of the plastic bottle (the back up coolent bottle on the side of the radiator) and fill the air up itself ?

am i right or way off ?

thanks

u gotta bleed the system
When you fill it, keep the cap off untill the cooling fan comes on u shud see bubbles poping at the top of the water, keep it running with the heater on full blast, untill it is hot, not just warm, do not fit the cap untill it is hot

1. make sure the mouth of the radiator is at the highest point of the cooling system, jack the front up if needed and support with stands.
2. fill the system (radiator and reservoir) up with GENUINE HONDA coolant only, leave the cap off.
3. slide the knob on the a/c control panel to HOT. fan does not have to be on.
4. start your car and let it idle for a while, until you see all the bubbles come out of mouth of the filler, or when the fan kicks in twice, you may have to top up every now and again, as it may spit out coolant while it is on and the cap is off. once the fan has kicked in twice and all the bubbles are out make sure you've radiator is full, and put on the cap.
5. turn off car.
