removing dc5r bootlid?

hey, i wanted to remove the boot lid from the remaining part of my wreck, i can see the hinges but they are hard to get to. Anyone have any idea how to remove it? preferably the non-destructive way.

i use to have a dc5.. not anymore though...

if i can remember correctly though, try detacting the gas lift struts from the boot lid or if u can from the car itself, then lift the boot lid hight enough till you can get to the top hinges :) i think they are pop riveted though... so u may have to drill them out.

if by luck they are screwd in.. then better for you haha.. make sure u have sumone holding the boot lid while u di it though cause once u unscresw it it will fall... u dont want tu damage ur boot lid..
