Winscreen wiper problems

Hey guys,
Didn't know where to post this so thought i'd throw it in the noob section.
I searched and couldn't find the result i was looking for
my 94 accord's winscreen wipers have been mucking up
basically the lowest setting stopped working, so i switched the blades and the same problem remains. The 2 other settings work, however when i was in heavy rain i had it on the highest setting for a while 5minutes or so and they heaviest setting went from really fast to probably the speed of the middle setting.
After getting home, i got into my car again and the lowest setting doesnt work but the 2 others work and the heaviest setting is heavy again.
Ive just been doing it manually by hitting the switch down as it is probably a safer bet for fast wiping.
Just wanting to know if there is a quick fix, maybe lubricating the mechanisms of the motor or even replacing it i spose.

Probably check if the wiper assembly is clogged up with crap. Take off the wiper arms and check the rotating assembly underneath. It could be caused by gunk buildup, corrosion at the switches or the wiper motor wearing out.
