View Full Version : DIY REQUEST: Stripping paint off a spoiler

Just need help regarding the stripping of paint off my spoiler so i can re-spray it.
sanding it down is one way, though is there any other way, preferably quicker?

spoiler? thats made out of plastic isnt it? cant use paint stripper on plastics it'll also strip your plastic material.
i did it on my side mirrors to respray cos it was getting pink lol and it made tiny holes on the plastic.

i did it on my side mirrors to respray cos it was getting pink lol and it made tiny holes on the plastic.

Hahahahaahahaha!

Get 800 grit wet/dry paper, fill a bucket with warm water and add a little bit of dishwashing liquid, put a rag in the bucket too.. Wipe the rag on the spoiler and use the sandpaper to wet sand it ofcourse using a sanding block too! Don't use a sanding block whilst on the corners though, you just want to open the pores ;)
