For a minute I thought the lever was a continuously variable control for changing CVT ratio, which would totally kick arse.

But actually its just a way of controlling braking/accelerating without pedals... NEXT.

if controlling braking/accelerating buy using a handle, just like a car for disable persons then!

I was thinking it some kind of power shift like a hi/lo range gear.
brake with handles, sounds like is a car for the aging ppl in Jap

I just find a video of what is powermatic build for.
the video below shows all the motorshow cars, Hobrick, PV, Jazz, alsma
the Jazz is using SH-AWD with Powermatic. but I don't know why the car snaps once in goes onto the wet roads??? he uses the handbrake???

I was thinking it was for the more disabled people/older people... some of the other cars I've seen in a Japanese brochure had like seats that were attached to some sort of arm and so you could get the seat out so you could fit in a person and the arm would lift the person into the car...

but after seeing that clip looks like some sort of semi-auto transmission or something??? Looks like there were 3 gauges on that car so maybe its a more powerful Jazz? I've no idea!
