hello hello
while driving i noticed my floor mats were pretty wet so i decided to investigate
i took em out and the oem carpet was pretty wet so i cleaned it up.
then i elft the car for aronud 10 minutes only to come back to notice wet again
i ripped out part of the carpet on the passenger side, and as theres a plastic big behind it near the ECU was cracked (normal wear and tear, its like rubber or something ) and behind it was the foam stuff like a padding, i pressed that area with my fingers and noticed thats wehre teh water was coming from ! i checked up top (under the g box) and foudn nothing wet,
i opened the hood and checked that general area and saw nothing,
any thoughts anyone?
thanks
i think its your aircon. where the evaporator box is theres a rubber tube. try replacing the tube or see if you can push it into the evaporator box, because it might be lose. The evaporator box is just on top of where the passenger would put their feet. Hope this helps

if thats the case would it makes sense to say when the air con isnt running/or hasnt been running it wouldnt leak?

checked the air con evaporator tube,
its not it,
its actually further down right beside/behind the ECU.
any more thuoghts anybody?
when i press up ie, near the air con evaporator box area its completely dry, so it seems its coming from right behind the ECU/behind the passenger side wheel!
anyone?

link to download manual (http://downloads.hondatech.info/Auto/Manuals/Civic/Ab0VE.Honda%20Civic%2092-95%20Service%20Manual.zip)
maybe theres some rain water stuck in the airbox inside your dash. if you take out the windscreen cowl, on the passenger side you can see a compartment with some fan im guessing (it looks round with some fins) and this white box plastic compartment is can go inside the car. (usually there will be lots of dried leaves)
maybe can try take the cowl out and inspect if theres some leftover water in the compartment?

Are you losing coolant? if so it's your heater core thats stuffed.

disregard last post, cant be heater core if hose is beside ecu

im 99% sure its water,
ive checked generally the entire inside of the car and im quite certain that is the leakage point, as in its coming FROM there as opposed to it got there!
i suspect its coming from windscreen or something similar
anyone?!
quite a long shot but isnt there like a small water tube/hose of some sort that runs from the engine bay through the car and out to the back? i think its for the rear window nozzle thing like the ones on the bonnet.. could it be that tube/hose thats leaking or something? i could be completely wrong.. :s

Replace the rubber grommets in the plastic panel that covers the windscreen wiper motors and air con ducts..
I was getting water straight onto my ECU for years before I noticed it :(
The air con duct is badly designed and faces straight up without any water spry covering.
This means any water that makes it pass the grommets or windscreen rubber can leak right into the air con duct :thumbdwn:
I paid to have my whole windscreen replaced because I thought that was the problem but its turned out to be old rubber grommets that allowed water pass lol

I'd be checking out what Lukezen27 said as well as any other plugs in your firewall around that area (not sure if there are any wiring loom entry points or openings on passenger side on EG).
But it might also be worth a look in your wheel arch - in case there are any rust holes etc in your gaurd - possibly water flicking up and in off your tyres when driving.
Also - double check your door frame/window seals - my EK sometimes leaks a bit around that area near the speaker/ECU.

BUMP
found the issue
next to the aircon consider pipe , on the left hand side (when facing it) directly behind/above the ECU is a cyclinder looking thing with wires from it and 3 screws
its dripping from those screws i donno if its all of them or only 2 of them
anyone know what that thing is so i can investigate?
its only began lleaking recently so i think tightening the bolts is no use.
THOUGHTS PLEASE>

you mean directly ABOVE the ecu? Its WHITE yeah? about the width of a coffee mug ?
I think its your fan unit that is leaking or storing the leaking water. It sucks in air from the outside or recirculated air, the leak must be further up where the air vents are.

well come over , ill fix that boot , ill write ya that receipt and we can diy check it out. Its not overly hard to remove the fan past the glovebox. Just a hr or so of checks will net the problem and probable fix.
