I went lower my car today ...
got the front finished, but when it goes to the rear ... found out that the shocks' spring base isn't in the rite size ( like they can't hold the springs, they are too small) ....
damm ... i double checked with bilstein b4 i went to the work shop, and they told me they've supplied these shocks to many of cars that are same as mine.
so now my car look so wired ..... nice n low at the front and frekin high at the end....
and the worse thign is that i have to get up early, to show bilstein the problem tomolo... and then go to Hanny's as soon as i got the rite parts to get the job finished...
i live in Lindfield(close to chatswood)... so imagin driving from this end to the other end of sydney ><.////
okok keke ... i'll post pics up when i got it all done....
BTW... i lowered them wif Kings superlow and bilstein shocks.....
how u guys find ur ride quality? now i feel like the road is just so crap... i can feel every bump on the road... dunno if its good or bad .. keke
how much were the bilsteins, if u dun mind me asking. :)
and any particular model of bilsteins?

ask civic si .. keke he got it for me .. very nice guy....
it's the sprint model... i m not really sure ... they've got the sport and sprint and which sprint is stiffer... and i've got the stiffer ones..

Thats a good price... I'm considering getting proper sports shocks for my car soon (it is pretty bad in my car with standard shocks)!
As for the quality of the road, i agree. You never realise how shitty our roads are in Sydney until you lower your car. Drive it up to Brisbane and you will be amazed at how great the highways/roads are as soon as you cross the border...
And driving the car with the front lowered and rear high reminds me of the time when i had my Celica. I had found some lowered springs/shocks for $50 at a wreckers, but only the front ones. I thought i could install them and then just cut the rears (shhh...), but gave up after trying for 3hrs to get the rear shocks unbolted.
So then i drove around for the next 2 weeks looking like a hotrod (nose down, bum up), while i contemplated what to do. I ended up taking it to a suspension place to get custom springs put in the rear to match the fronts (damn low).
BTW, you mention the strut mount not being the right size. Are you using the stock springs? Sounds like you have a set of front shocks for the rears! the front springs are much smaller (but longer) than the rears.

ok .. problem solved today...
i went to bilstein .. and took them 2 hrz to find me the right bottom spring seats...(oh btw it was teh spring seat --- as where the spring seats on the shocks)
actually ... they don't even have the right seats for 6gen accord.... so ended up gave me a alluminium seats which suppose to suit a lexus.... ... anyway ...
got them fitted .. and feels much better than just having the front ... not bounce as much as only the front fitted....
go to hannys ... at smithfield.... they r good.. quick job.. and ended up paying $150...
coz lots of small things fixed keek....
i'll post pics up soon ...
ok here pics added

no worries tod...
btw... howz anyone wif lowered car .. think of their ride quality ....
i kno it's good on good roads.. but just went it comes to un-even roads ... they car is so stickin to the ground ... so means it runs upand down according the uneven curves on the road... ><

I believe he already got the rears fixed as he said previously...
Yeah mate when you lower the car the bumps become alot more noticeable, and i just got new rims with low profile rubber and believe me that doesn't help much either :/ It's the price you pay i guess!
i never really get it. Why do people lower there cars????? i just hate lowered ars for some reason.

some ppl lower for looks, other people reduce body roll and lower centre of gravity to improve handling

lowered cars don't need to have wheels under the guard if thats what your referring to, it doesn't need to be that overt.

i mainly like the looks of it... it look good...
but then again ... the handling is soooooo great... u can take a corner much faster with u sitting straight wifout the help of the seat ... (haha my english so crap ... hope u understand what i m saying)
and ... it's just the bump that are killing me.... it turned out that bilstein supplied the wrong set of shocks.. (coz they don't even have my car in their product list... the accord they have is the JDM one ><...).... even new spring seats were supplied i still think the shocks ain't for my car...
and now i wanna kno if it is the shoks that are too stiff or is it the springs...
pic up in 20 minz... resizing them now keke

i never really get it. Why do people lower there cars????? i just hate lowered ars for some reason. You can't tell me that you like the ride height of your euro???
There's about 8cm of gap between the top of the tyre and the lip of the guard (measured with a ruler laying across the top of the tyre and measured up to the guard).
yeh i love the euro s position, how its nearly flat on the ground (mostly front i guess)
I was reffering to those crazy people who do it so much that its got like 2 cms of the ground. especially on them four wheel drives. I dont like to mod a car just because im kinda one of these guys that think they might disturb the balance of the car. I like a car thats you can buy which covers all the persons needs. JUst like the euro, Its got performance, handling, looks, aerodynamics, innovation and most important fuel economy. And i have no need to lower it etc.

i think the euro is a bit too high and the wheels are a bit too small and sits a bit too inside of the wheel arch...
keke just personal experienc3e

keke just personal experienc3e I agree, I think it lends it self really well for modification.
Your car looks so much better now too!

Basically to the point where I believe the car should have been from factory. These tanabe's are not hard core racing ones, but just street ones. I still want the ride quality, and these are great value. I will only lower it about 2 inches, I don't want to be scraping over speed bumps (Western Australian councils must have a fasination with them, they are every where!).
I think that the Euro shows it's weight too much when cornering, I put it down to the massive ride height.

Sounds like you have some tramlining issues (where your car steers left/right over bumps). This could be due to any number of reasons:
Wheel alignment
Tyre type/wear
Camber
Wheel offset
Worn bushes
etc...
But most likely its just wheel alignment.
My car is crap on bumpy roads; it bounces and bumps over anything larger than a pebble. But it never tramlines, which is good!

Lowered suspension is supposed to make ur car feel stiff and bouncy. One reason ppl lower their car is because they don't to make it look like a 4wd. Too much air and gap especially on the Euro.
Get a wheel alignment and Wheel balance. It does wonders after u have changed suspension and/or alloys...

Hmmm, I tend to agree with you. It also costs more on the long run. :(
First mod - 30mm lowering
Second Mod - Factory Alloys (had steelies)
Third Mod - Superlows (first mod wasn't low enough)
Fourth Mod - 5zigen wheels (factory alloys are cool - but everyoe has them)
If you're going to spend some cash might as well make it look like it!
