New Question

Hello,

I have an amplifier being used in my car but i have no information about it.

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk251/Mugen_Civic_photo/DSC00701.jpg

Brand: Audio Mobile Acoustic (AMA)
Type: AMX-520
- 4 x 150W max
- Fan Series

Thats all the info i got from just reading the amp itself, i'm guessing its a 4 x 60Wrms.
I googled it and nothing came up, has anyone seen or know anything about this amp? It seems to be a no name amp unless someone can tell me other wise. I wanna know the exact specification...

Much appreciated.

Old question:

Hello,

My front right speaker occasionally cuts off on sound and then occasionally comes back. Sometimes it occasionally comes back with the music but it comes back with like a flutter effect in the music.

Running a Sony dvd unit, 4 channel amp (forgot what brand, gotta check) for that speaker and speaker in question is JBL GTO series 6".

Question is:
* problem with speaker?
* the amp?
* or the head unit?

I was gonna buy a new set of front speakers thinking that might be a problem as I've used them for a couple of years but then i don't want to find out after installing it that its a different problem.

Hoping some of you experts may know something with the description i've given.

Cheers.

Found out that the connection from the RCA plug to the amp was just hanging on by the pin from the cable, all seems fine now after properly connecting it. I think cause its next to the sub, it must of vibrated and wiggled itself loose. Thanks for the help!

the touching point of the wire might be loose

Yeah check all your connections, also the ones on the amp, that sounds like a bad connection - also the voice coil on the speaker may be shot but ide be going with connections first.
