What would perform better ?

Standard DC2R calipers, rotors & pads

or EK4 brakes with performance rotors (ie DBA 4000's) & upgraded pads ?

I can't see why EK4 brakes with performance rotors and pads wouldn't out perform stock DC2R stuff?

On what car are these brakes going on and for what kind of application?

Will be on my EG with b-series.

Currently comparing upgrading the existing standard brakes or swapping them out for DC2R equivalents (i.e. DC2R caliper & custom 4x100 rotors)

The cost of decent rotors & brake pads is similar to the DC2R upgrade. Just not sure what would work best.

I'll also be upgrading the booster & mc to DC2R

u do realise a brake upgrade does not consist of how big your calipers, rotors, and pads are??? upgrade your brake booster to get the max out of the rotors. DC2R stock rotors should work like a charm put together with a dc2r brake booster as well. if you think of upgrading your rotors make sure you dont get something bigger than the caliper area.

As mentioned i did have the intention of upgrading the booster & MC to DC2R spec.

Just wasn't sure if stock DC2R > EK4 with suitable performance pads & rotors.

^^^ my bad thought you wernt thinking of upgrading the booster & MC. but yeah dc2r > than ek4. think of power output between the two and the body weight. dc2r brakes have to be stronger in comparasion to the ek4.

:) no worries.

I think i'm better off going DC2R... i can also sell my existing EK4 setup to make up some of the cost.

Thanks for the input.
