been wanting to get a new muffler on recently,

does the inlet size of the muffler have to be the same size as the pipe coming to the muffler? or can things be done to make a bigger sized inlet muffler fit onto car?

Yes, pipe reducers are available. Speak to your muffler guy as it means welding it on for a gas tight seal.
