Automatic Gears stuck in Park

I have recently had a problem where my gear stick tends to get Stuck in Park and not be able to change gears at all and this is not because of the fuse which is connected to the break because the break lights work. So I was wondering if anyone has got problems with their integras similiar to my situation so i can find a way to fix it.

The shift lock solenoid might be playing up.

Everytime you depress the brake you should hear it click.

And its usually not the fuse. its the brake switch itself. I doubt it has it has its own fuse.
Usually small components share the one fuse.


You should have a shift lock hole near the gear shifter.
Your key can go in there. then you can select gears.

I know it isnt the fuse thats playing up this time because at first my break lights did stop working and i couldnt use the gear sticks due to a broken fuse from a short circuit in the horns wiring. But i did fix that problem and replaced the fuse. Now this time the break light works, i can hear the tiny click sound when i depress the breaks and the gear stick just wont move from Park even if i put a key in the shift lock hole.
