[EURO] - CL9 Security Indicator Question

Hi All,

Quick question.

I am aware that in the 6 Disc Factory Head Unit it generally does not have a security PIN Code. However does your Security Indicator (LED) illuminate when you have the vehicle switched off and the doors locked etc.

I am aware of the flashing red indicator in the guage cluster, but there is ment to be one on the 6 disc audio also. Below the "Seek / Skip" button and above the "eject" button.

Mine does not illuminate.
Is it a fault, or is it something that is linked to the PIN Code, and as do not have one. Hence the security LED does not illuminate.

1. Check if the problem appears when turning the ignition switch OFF.


Does the problem appear?



YES - Go to 2.




NO - Operation is normal.n




2. Remove the audio-HVAC-display module.




3. Connect the No. 6 (VDD) and No. 1 terminal of the front printed circuit board as shown below. Then apply the positive voltage to the No. 7 terminal intermittently on and off to observe whether the LED will turn on and off correspondingly to the inputs of the voltage as shown in the figure.

No...

Some cars have PIN Code security for the 6 Disc Audio System.
My car dooes not have a PIN Code, nor a flashing light.

So my question to everyone else with a CL9, do you have an LED that flashes on your 6 disc audio system?

well my CL9 doesnt have a pin or security LED like what you are describing.

Its 2006 sports BTW
