seems like your shorting out your pressure signal wire with your light trigger wire.

make sure the wiring at the back of the gauge is good. some of those gauges are a bit fiddly and really need to be soldered and heat shrunk to be safe and work properly.

when you send 12v straight to the pressure signal input on the gauge you're essentially sending it the maximum signal it can get (probably more actually.) hence why it maxes out.

With these gauges, the rear of the gauge normally has a + (positive) - (negative) and sensor wire and ignition wire connections. Make sure they are not shorting out at all. If you wanna quick fix it, install one connection at a time and then wrap it with electrical tape. If you want a permanent fix, heat shrink the connections to prevent any shorting.

Autobahn amatures. As said, wired up incorrectly or something wrong with gauge.

Can't believe it. I did my own install and it was my first gauge install ever. Was dodgy as shit but it still worked good without shorting out. Wonder how bad are Autobarn audio installs if they can stuff a gauge up like this.

yea makes me wish I did wire it up in the first place

as with most things I go back to know, if I want a job done right first time, I should do it myself...

lease the plate looks smick and fits great :D
