stock tyres should go about 50,000 with normal driving. can someone confirm?

adding to the original question, anybody know how long Potenza RE001 will last?

its all depend on how hard and the way you drive.

RE01R and Advan NEOVA will not last for 50,000km. If you drive 'normally' they should last around 30-35k, however if you drive hard 20k may be all you get. Depends on how much load you put on them, hard braking and cornering and full throttle early on exit from corners will wear you tyres quickly.

My C drives are wearing quicker than a usual "sport" tyre.

I'll say that much

I highly recommend TOYO T1R and HANKOOK VENTUS RS2, excellent road tyres particularly for small to medium lightweight cars. Of course NEOVA and RE01R are good, but those two that I recommended, in my experience (have tried them all) are very very good alternatives. I only pay the extra for bridgestone when buying semi-slicks (best in my opinion).

You can go very fast on T1Rs dry and wet. Suzuki Ignis Sport competing in nurburgring 24 hr race using these, and came 50th outright (first in class).

i got 10 000 out of a set of T1R's which are a similar treadwear rating to RE001's

Hey man,

I'm running RE001s - the mechanic at the Bridgestone tyre centre i had it fitted said they will last on average 30,000K's give or take some. No running in needed.

Have driven Yokohama C-Drives and they handle well but not as much grip as the RE's. RE's aren't the best in the wet either.

Ferntree Gully Bridgestone Tyre Centre has real good service if you ever go Adrenalins.

Good luck

Depends on how hard you push them. I pushed my suzuki ignis sport hard (on circuit coilovers) and used most of the life by 17000km, however my friend bought the car and got another 10-12000 out of them (driving normally).

My dad gets 15000 on semi slicks on his R34 GTR (daily driver). Car gets used hard on weekends too. Just depends on how you drive, how much pressure you run, heat cycling, rotation, etc.

wow you must do burn outs? lol
its been 10kkms now and still got 60-70% tread left. daily driven T1R

btw its in 16". yours maybe 15"
the smaller diameter will wear out faster than bigger diameter?

The T1R (280) has a higher treadwear rating than the RE001(220), so in theory should last longer. But having swapped my T1Rs for the RE001 more than a year ago... i've come realise the RE001 has worn down alot slower than the T1R, and at the rate its going, would definitely and surprisingly outlast the T1R.

The T1R is a good tyre for the price, but the RE001 has outperformed the T1R in almost every aspect...

in both cases (tyres), occasional spirited and normal gentle daily driving styles.
The T1R lasted me about 20k kms.

ive so far put around 25,000 kms on my S drives with around 1/2 to go.

i have a camber kit so things stay nice and straight.

i've driven to canberra and back, sydney and back as well.

sport in my mind usually equates to fast wearing with a shit load of grip

beating the christ of of tyres before they get grubby depending on brand would prob be up to 15,oookm, I'd go thro fronts prob every twelve months...

since owning the car I've tried most of the Falkens on the market for 17s, Khumos and Maxxis

Khumos in the wet were prob the worst tyre Ive driven...
