If you've got an AusDM DC5 forget about Brembo, go for the Spoon. If you want the Brembo, you have to change the sway bar, Lower control arm and rotor too.

1. I don't see where it says he has a Type R in the first post
2. AUDM DC5R doesn't come with brembos

Before upgrading your calipers try changing your pads, lines, and fluid. SS lines made a big difference for me, feels awesome!

If u take ur car to the track, spoon and brembos are the way to go. Consider Project Mu brakes too i have seen them done on DC5. But if u dont take ur car to the track then brembos are a just wank factor because the stock brakes can do the same job. If u want a more agressive bite and feel then i go for braided lines, upgraded pads, slotted rotors and a master cylinder brace.

The standard braking is quite poor under load. It's a single pot caliper. The cheapest way is to upgrade the pads & better brake fluid see if that will be a little better than stock.

What are you trying to compare the brakes against?

the dc5R in aus still dun come with brembo =P.. and he seems to have changed his car =P i only see dc5 under his avatar, i seen plenty of brake shops that claim to sell brembo but i dont know a heap of alot about the brakes itself. the question you goto ask yourself is do you need that much stopping power? because unless u drive on the track or a nutter on the streets =P stock brakes are pretty good =P.. but i think someone said upgrade pads. that might do the trick =P..

changing to project my pads and AEM slotted rotors has made a considerable difference for me.

just get braided lines and brake fluid first, and see if it is sufficient. I didn't find the stock pads to be too bad.

The endless clips are awesome ! I used go on track with this DC5 with Endless clip, i was trying to learn the break point from him, yet i found the DC5 stopped and drove away the corner, and i was still braking. That made me stood up on my brake to stop the car.. that was scary... i found out straight away that how good the Endless clips and disc are.

You don't like the SPOON on your car?Of course. I like my spoon one. I also love endless 6 piston caplier. But it can't fit my 15" rim when i go to track.

Well... if 6 pot is too big you can try the 4 pot then (j/k)
my opinion is with dc2r since they are about 100kg lighter than dc5r... with 4 pot like what you have got should be more than enough.... dc5r on the other hand is over weight....
