at the moment i have a b18cr half cut, what sort of rules are there i wanted to put it ito an ek is that aloud
i herd some thing about that the motor cant be older than the car or something like dat
any imput would be great thanks

it should be able to fit, as alot are 99 spec anyhow (the odds of you having a 96 spec teg engine and a 97-00EK are slim) but it's all to do with emissions gear

i dont know what yr the engine is its a jdm type r if that helps and the car im still looking for one

well the type r was made from 96-01 (someone clarify the 01 being a jap thing)
and the ek from 96-00

It can be older than the car but has ti be in the same year emissions bracket..

You will have to pass the emissions test and have the car engineered

As lukezen said, the engine only needs to pass emission tests.
And you will have to upgrade your standard EK brakes to support the power of the B18

yeah as henessayy and luke said.. just got to pass emission test and will need to upgrade brakes as the engine is much powerful then regualar d series and thats it.

you wouldnt really need to upgrade your brakes hennessay, your not going to be doing 110 kms all the way,
unless your going track different sotry,

That's up to the engineer but in most cases its a requirement to pass.

Its not a huge cost to your brakes anyway and good for safety!

depends which ek you have
if you have an ek hatch which isn't an ek4 then i'd suggest going to 262mm front and rear disc if you can
good to spend money where you can see/feel results :)
