ebay = cheap quality, wont last long
branded = they have good brand/reputation for a reason. Goood quality.

Ive seen both last long and pull good power on all sorts of cars, it all goes hand in hand with design

most mufflers around are made pretty decent regardless of price

branded ones are way over priced i'd say. Why its cheap on ebay. Its because they dont have to pay workers, nor shareholders. So minimal profit would be enough for them =)

well to be honest jap cat backs dont meet aus emissions to begin with, so regardless of make, brand and model

all you should care about is what wont get you an epa fine...

and all exhaust shops in QLD anyhow for the past yr have to build systems to both their requirements and sound levels, your best bet is to go to an exhaust shop and have them make you a combo, wont cost you much

and how do u know ?
most jap cat backs are tested in japan and say jasma approved stamp on them
which is very close to our standards
exhaust shop are rip offs
dont know anything about honda exhuast systems and they will sell u a fart cannon

the ones near me do a great job, rob bliss has been at the game a long time and can guarantee epa pass systems

also in the US all my mates take their systems off for epa testing yrly, they need to or they fail the car...

Im just sick of ppl winging about their jap systems failing epa/dB in oz is all, would rather ppl doing research and not getting a 20k fine...

america has the toughest emissions laws so enough said
you dont get a exhaust to pass a epa test
u get them for the looks , sound , and power

well those fart cannons are giving hondas in general a bad name they sound shit and look shit
so coppers love to have a field day on them
and know fart cannon owners are easy targets

I've got a x-force twin loop on my teg. sounds great, looks great and won't be a target for cops becasue it looks more 'stock' than a cannon.

avoid the eBay ones only if their the cheap $3 mass produced ones with $50 shipping... had one ages ago... blew off at the welds on the inlet side but the circumference bit of the barrel. the glass packing is SOOOOO crap!

theres some nice branded ones on there that are still cheaper to get there than here despite the current economy and exchange rates...
