hi, i have searched but nothing was really directive.
does anyone here own a whiteline shocks/spring combo? how are the product quality, the price is so much better compared to konis and i have only heard good reviews about them (whiteline). its for a dc2 but all other models welcome for input. i have also heard that whiteline shocks are identical to konis, just different name. can someone clear this out?
cheers

i think they use revalved Koni shocks to match their springs. quality is good. if anything negative, only that spring rates are not stiff enough for some.

There is some debate as to whether Whiteline have the Koni's specifically manufactured for their setups.
IMO, I think they just set the rebound to their own setting and 'say' that they are setup to their specs just to stop people from buying the Koni's cheaper elsewhere and then asking whiteline to install them.
This is what whiteline had to say about their 'special' Konis (Source (http://www.suspensionparts.info/showthread.php?s=&threadid=188&highlight=koni)
Whiteline use other brands shocks such as KYB and Koni to name a few, sometimes revalves them to match the springs. Check with whiteline.
Dave's comments are pretty close the money We stock and sell a complete range of standard and special shocks.
When we develop our suspension solutions it is a complete package with the different components designed to work together. Springs and shocks are a good example. Springs control bumps and shocks control springs - it is therefore vital that these components work together and are balanced and matched to each other and our swaybars etc.
The base shock used in our kits could be from a number of different manufacturers - depending on type, the application and valving rates etc required.
I trust the above is helpful

i got a price for a set of Whiteline shocks
its not that much cheaper than a set of Koni's (maybe $50 if i remember)
so i'd still take Koni's over whiteline

AFAIK whiteline supply 'specially valved' koni's with their springs if you are getting shocks too.
I don't think they actually manufacture shocks of their own.
